The Behemoth Announces Upcoming Castle Crashers DLC
Independent game developer and publisher The Behemoth, the team behind the incredible Battleblock Theater, has just announced that an upcoming DLC for Castle Crashers “Painter Boss Paradise” is set to release on Steam later this summer. The DLC will unveil custom character capabilities through the Steam Workshop and will feature new art for all official playable characters, weapons and the game map.
Castle Crashers is a hilarious, addicting beat ‘em up combat game that was originally released for the Xbox Live Arcade way back in August of 2008. Its success led to its digital release for PlayStation, Steam, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. After almost 17 years, The Behemoth gives Castle Crashers some new additions to breathe life back into the game.
The Painter Boss Paradise DLC includes:
Steam Workshop tool: Create your own knight skins, upload to the Workshop, and share with the world.
New official character: Play as Paint Junior and create powerful art to vanquish your foes.
Updated art for all official playable characters, weapons, and world map (with an option to toggle on or off)
An entire roster of wacky DLC characters created by The Behemoth’s art team for fans to directly download from the Workshop upon release.
The Painter Boss Paradise DLC’s Steam Page is live now in addition to a development update video which you can watch above. Players will be able to grab the DLC for $3.99 upon launch, but for now it can wishlisted so players can stay up to date on future updates.
