FMV Psychological Horror Hello Stranger to Release in May
Aviary Studios just announced yesterday that they are bringing a new FMV psychological horror/thriller game to players. Written and directed by Paul Raschid (The Complex, Five Dates, Ten Dates, The Gallery), Hello Stranger tells the story of a man trapped in his smart home by a masked stranger who forces him to play three games in order to survive.
Hello Stranger will feature an incredible cast including George Bladgen (Vikings), Danny Griffin (Fate: The Winx Saga), Christina Wolfe (The Ark and FBI International), Kulvinder Ghir (Foundation and Goodness Gracious Me, Laura Whitmore (Queenie), Yasmin Finney (Heartstopper) and Derek Jacobi (Gladiator II). Hello Stranger was screened at the Dinard Film Festival as a group gameplay event to a sold-out audience. It was also a part of the Red Sea Film Festival 2024. Aviary Studio hopes to continue to blend the medium of game and film by continuing to present at group gameplay cinema screenings.
In Hello Stranger you play as Cam, who interacts with strangers from home on the Hello Stranger platform, a randomized video chatting application. He eventually encounters a masked stranger with an altered voice. The Stranger locks Cam in his smart-hom and forces him to win three rounds of games or the game is over. Cam’s viewers must make decisions and play the three games for Cam to survive. The game contains over fourth hors of filmed content featuring choice-based mechanics and mini-games with 10 possible endings.
