Studio ZA/UM Announce New RPG PROJECT [C4]

Independent game developer and publisher ZA/UM Studio announced today their upcoming RPG ZA/UM, an espionage RPG, PROJECT [C4]. This announcement came about with a new, short teaser that just dropped. 

The teaser, while very short, doesn’t reveal too much. Phrases like, “My mind is eating itself” and “Crimson mist of deceit and paranoia” set the tone for something dark and dripping with conspiracy. See for yourself in the teaser below.

Project [C4] has been described as a “dialogue-heavy game” that blends player introspection, deep character-drive dialogue and high-stakes encounters steered by dice rolls. 

This title is the first project from ZA/UM since 2019’s Disco Elysium which won numerous awards and Game of the Year honors including four Game Awards, three BAFTA’s and a D.I.C.E. Award. Many of the original Disco Elysium team have broken off from the studio including the team behind Hopetown, the upcoming psychogeogrpahic RPG from Longdue.

While ZA/UM has had a complicated history, many are looking forward to seeing what the studio does next. Keep your eyes out for future news on the upcoming PROJECT [C4] in the coming months.
