Horror Visual Novel Scarlet Hollow Relaunches with The Roads Untraveled Update
Black Tabby Games has just relaunched their award-winning gothic horror visual novel Scarlet Hollow with a brand new update. The “Roads Untraveled” update freshly reanimates the existing four chapters of the game with an expanded script of more than 70,000 words.
In Scarlet Hollow you play as the cousin of Tabitha, who is grieving the death of her mother Pearlanne Scarlet. Pearlanne was the owner of the Hollow’s Scarlet Mine and now it’s up to you to help your cousin while she manages the mine from rustic locals to vengeful spirits. Take on traits to become someone new. Do you prefer to be a muscle-bound mystic, a nerdy loner or something else entirely? Scarlet Hollow lets players choose how their transient out-of-towner deals with the strange goings-on in the Hollow.
Scarlet Hollow is from the award-winning indie studio composed of Abby Howard and Tony Howard-Arias who previous worked on 2023’s smash hit Slay the Princess. The first episode is available for free but you can grab the first four episodes right now on Steam with a 25% discount in celebration of its relaunch.
