Yogscast Games Introduces New Deckbuilder The Royal Writ

Developer Save Sloth Studios alongside publisher Yogscast Games have just unveiled today a new roguelike deckbuilder, The Royal Writ. The Royal Writ is a lane-based card game with permadeath where players kill their cards to win. 

In The Royal Writ, his royal highness has invited troublemakers causing problems in his kingdom to visit his throne room. Don’t worry, if they’re reluctant to accept the invitation, a little siege never hurt anybody.

In the game players must carefully enlist and place creatures on the battlefield and watch them march to their eternal death or glory as they try to conquer the enemies. Deal damage to the enemy each turn, taking advantage of your cards’ power or multiplication modifiers. Look out for pitfalls and difficult terrain, upgrade and enhance your solder cards and work your way across procedurally generated maps in a quest to defeat and capture the final boss.
