Side-Scrolling Base Builder KENTUM Releases New Demo

Developer Tiön Industries, the team behind terraforming game Per Aspera and liminal horror game Dreamcore, have just released a new demo for their upcoming 2D side-scrolling base-building survival game KENTUM

In KENTUM you play as Kent, an average guy turned clone who must survive, explore and rebuild civilization with the help of a snarky AI. Discover the wonders of the world around you which is filled to the brim with diverse fauna, flora and climate events. Do your best to classify every animal, plant and mineral in order to survive the brutal passing of the seasons.

In KENTUM, every material is at your disposal in order to build your base. You’ll start small with wood and coal before eventually being able to grow your base into a massive resource gathering machine. The world out there for Kent is brutal and unforgiving. Thankfully, he can be revived endlessly, but dying pretty much sucks for everyone so you’ll want to prep for the adventure ahead to try and avoid becoming clone number 1,001.

The demo for KENTUM allows players to go through the opening hours of the game by exploring its first region. The demo contains a variety of machines to craft as well as decorations you can use for your base. The full version of the game will include additional items, flora, fauna, drones and more.

KENTUM is set to release on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S but does not have a concrete release date just yet. Grab the demo on Steam now and wishlist to stay up to date on future announcements.
